The side characters in the manga each had their little quirks. From the start, I had high expectations since it topped several BL rankings, also a friend said it was the cutest thing she had read, and the book did not disappoint. What really shines to me about Samejima-kun and Sasahara-kun is that it deals with friends-become-lovers so very well.
Akiyama-kun Akiyamakun nobara aiko akiyama kun. The BL is just kinda dangling from a string, rather what the manga focuses on is the humanness of the characters. Text flows into the guttering of the book and you really need to bend your book to the spine to read it.
